Flax seeds or Alsee (in Urdu) was very much part of our culinary. It was a ritual in summers in our rural areas to have a sweet made of Flax seeds (Alsee di Pinnian) to prevent from flu, cold and to boost immune system. By the time other industrial products dominated and Alsee has forgotten like many other healthy herbs and spices.
